Types of Surfacing Materials Available
- AB-3 is a crushed limestone that's ideal as a base aggregate under hard surfacing
- 1.25" road rock is a crushed limestone rock that's used as surfacing material for driveways, parking lots, and roads. (Pictured below)
- 2.50" road rock is a crushed limestone rock for surfacing roads
- A wide variety of KDOT approved materials available at most locations
Filter Rock
- Washed filter rock is used when drainage is critical - comes in a variety of sizes (1" to 4")
Slope Protection
- 4" and 6" ditch lining is a great erosion control material
- Rip-rap is another effective erosion control material
